Aero Products International, Inc., a leading manufacturer of high
quality, inflatable products, came to Script to Screen to produce
an infomercial for its latest new product introduction, the Raised
AeroBed.
To demonstrate the bed's aesthetics and convenience, as well
as its strength and durability, Script to Screen created a fun
and engaging infomercial called, Crouching Tiger, Rising Mattress.
It got its name from the appearance of Asia, a Siberian tiger,
that puts the durability of the Raised AeroBed to the test in the
infomercial's finale.
The show was hosted by Pat Murphy Stark and Tom Jourden, and tested
successfully in September 2001, before rolling out nationally.
It yielded an average MER of 2.5:1, and ranked in the Jordan Whitney
Top 50 for 15 weeks in a row. It was instrumental in gaining retail
placement and creating sell through demand for the product.
Crouching Tiger, Rising Mattress, was awarded 2002 Best
Housewares Infomercial at the Annual Electronic Retailing
Association (ERA) Conference & Expo.
