SCRIPT TO
SCREEN, MOVING IN THE FAST LANE WITH THE INDY RACING NORTHERN LIGHT
SERIES
Santa Ana, CA--October
16, 2000--Script to Screen recently completed an infomercial for
the Indy Racing Northern Light Series, it was announced by Ken Kerry,
Creative Director and Executive Vice President of Script to Screen,
Inc.
The Indy 500,
the world's most watched sporting event, is held annually on Memorial
Weekend at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The race is attended
by thousands of spectators and is watched by millions of TV viewers
worldwide.
What many people
are not familiar with is that this prestigious motor race is only
one of thirteen that form The Indy Racing Northern Light Series
in which the drivers from thirty-three teams compete for the coveted
Northern Light Cup.
Recognizing
the need for public awareness, the Indy Racing League (IRL), which
governs the series, approached Script to Screen to produce an infomercial
that would educate the general public and help boost attendance
at the individual Northern Light Series races.
Filmed on location
at several race tracks including the Indianapolis Motor Speedway,
the infomercial consists of spectacular race photography, and features
interviews with the current 2000 Northern Light Series Champion,
Buddy Lazier, and former Indy 500 winners Eddie Cheever Jr., and
Al Unser Jr. Media for the direct response tv campaign is being
purchased by Hawthorne Direct.
"We are very
pleased to be associated with The Indy Racing Northern Light Series,
and we are delighted that they recognized the infomercial format
as the appropriate medium to tell their story," said Kerry.
Recognized industrywide
for award-winning infomercials that are successful commercially,
as well as creatively, Script to Screen has produced direct response
television campaigns for such prestigious clients as Adams Golf,
alien Sport, American Telecast, Dynastar, General Motors, Hooked
on Phonics, NordicTrack, Sanyo, Sharp, Taylor Made Golf, Time-Life,
and Valvoline.
Since its establishment
in Santa Ana, California in 1986, Script to Screen has risen to
a leadership position among direct response television marketing
companies. The company has been honored with numerous awards throughout
the years by The Electronic Retailing Association, (formerly NIMA),
The New York Festivals, and The Clio Awards.
