FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
STAR-STUDDED CAST APPLAUDS O'MEARA'S
PERFECT GRIP
Santa Ana, CA-August 23, 1999-Script to
Screen recently completed an infomercial for Protégé
Sport, manufacturer of the Perfect Grip, it was announced by
Tony Kerry, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Script to Screen,
Inc. The Perfect Grip marks the twentieth golf infomercial produced
by Script to Screen, sixteen of which have been markedly successful.
Designed in collaboration with PGA Touring
Professional, and 1998 Masters and British Open Champion, Mark
O'Meara, the Perfect Grip is an exact replica of O'Meara's hands'
position on the golf club. Elected PGA Player of the Year in
1998, he is considered by many of his peers to have one of the
most consistent and reliable swings, and the best grip in golf.
Manufactured from an ultra-thin, lightweight
polymer, the Perfect Grip fits easily over the golf club's existing
grip, and is locked into place by its T-Trac locking system.
It can be exchanged between clubs in a matter of seconds. It
effectively helps the golfer develop a more consistent swing
with more control of the club.
Filmed at the beautiful Isleworth Country
Club, the infomercial is hosted and presented by O'Meara, with
support from Hank Haney, his lifelong coach and a former PGA
Professional of the Year. Testimonial support features some of
the biggest stars in golf: 1999 PGA Champion, Tiger Woods; 1999
US Open Champion, Payne Stewart; 1998 US Open Champion, Lee Jantzen;
1997 British Open Champion, Justin Leonard; as well as Brad Faxon,
Brian Watts and several others.
"We are pleased with our association
with Protégé Sport, and believe the Perfect Grip
is an outstanding innovative product that will make a substantial
contribution to the game of golf," said Ken Kerry, Executive
Vice President and Creative Director at Script to Screen.
