ANOTHER FIRST FOR SCRIPT TO SCREEN
Ski Manufacturer Chooses Script to Screen for DRTV Launch
Santa Ana, CA-September 3, 1999-Script
to Screen recently completed its first infomercial for Skis Dynastar,
Inc., world-renowned manufacturer of Dynastar skis, Look pivot
bindings, and Lange boots, announced Barbara Kerry, Chairman
of Script to Screen.
The infomercial promotes all three products, and is designed
to educate the consumer about the latest advancements in ski
equipment, in particular the PinTail technology developed by
Dynastar. Voted 1999 Ski of the Year by Ski Magazine,
PinTail technology skis enable the average skier to have more
control over their speed and turns, making skiing easier and
safer.
Dynastar is the first ski company to utilize
the direct response television format in its marketing mix. Designed
as a lead generator, the infomercial objective is to drive consumers
to retail outlets and boost sales in an otherwise flat marketplace.
ABC and ESPN ski announcer, Bob Beattie
and six-time US National Ski Champion, Pam Fletcher, co-host
and present the show, with support from Charlie Adams, Vice President
of Product Development at Skis Dynastar, Inc.
Filmed on location at the beautiful NorthStar Resort at Lake
Tahoe, and at Chamonix, France, the infomercial contains superb
cinematography and uses extraordinary graphic animation to demonstrate
the unique qualities of the Dynastar products.
Expert testimonials are provided by professional
skiers: Downhill Gold Medallist, Tommy Moe, (a lifelong user
of Dynastar skis); World Champion and three-time Gold Medallist,
Alberto Tomba; and Olympic Gold & Silver Medallist, Picabo
Street.
